When you choose to donate DME, you will receive an equipment donation receipt. All donations are tax deductible. In accordance with IRS regulations, individual donors are responsible for estimating the current market value of the DME at the time of donation.

About Medical Loan Closet

Let’s meet the needs

The Medical Loan Closet of Wichita serves the community by loaning Durable Medical Equipment to the underserved and individuals who have issues with their insurance.

The primary source of the DME comes from Wichita and the surrounding area. These very generous donations have made the Medical Loan Closet’s assistance to the underserved possible. Thanks so much!

When the DME is received, it is inspected, cleaned and repaired when needed, then placed in the revolving inventory.

There is a modest processing fee of generally $5 to $25 based on the size of the DME.
This fee is due when the contract is signed by the borrower.

The MLC is a 501c3 “For Purpose” corporation, staffed by volunteers. We do not receive any local or state funding.

The MLC of Wichita has provided this service since 2012.

Visitor limitations within the Medical Loan Closet of Wichita is necessary for the safety of our Staff, Volunteers and Visitors and community to control to the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
MLC will continue to follow the recommendations from the CDC, the Local Health Department and KDHE We will limit to 15 people in the office and social distancing 6 feet, MLC will continue to screen all who enter the medical loan closet. Mask and Glove will be available for volunteers and visitors if needed.

You do not need an appointment during these times Our offices are closed on Monday, Wednesday & Sunday and Most holidays
